I’ll admit to not giving Boston a fair chance until relatively recently. This summer, I had the opportunity to visit twice thanks to exclusive date travel sponsored by a wonderful lover, who had set out to change my impression of this “Shining City Upon the Hill”.
Prior to, my experiences of Boston had largely been limited to winter and early spring visits. The weather was unforgiving on each occasion, limiting my adventures to indoor-only activities. As a result, I had come to enjoy the food in Boston, but not much else.
I am a bit sad that it took me so long to fall in love, but better late than never :-)
I developed a sort of routine walking through the Boston Commons and the adjoining Public Garden each morning, and came to understand why Julia Howard Howe described the city as “an oasis in the desert”. We ate amazing food - obviously, much of it was Italian! - without feeling any guilt after all the walking we had done throughout the day. Some days started out gloomy, but the sun was always beaming by the time we did our evening stroll with Bali (my dog) around the Harbor in the Seaport District.
Perhaps a few more visits, and I’ll be completely enamored. I’d love to be your guest in Boston, if you’ll welcome me. Whether its a few hours or a few days (I offer special rates for multi-day dates), I’m available anywhere in the domestic United States or International as your exclusive luxury independent travel companion.
